The Bitter and the Sweet, Revelation 10

February 28, 2010 Speaker: Dr. David Silvernail Series: The King’s Triumphant Return - A Series in Revelation

Topic: Sermons Passage: Revelation 10:1–10:11

Pastor Dave preaches from Revelation 10 as we look at what happens between the sixth and seventh trumpets.  There's an odd scene that the Apostle John is not allowed to fully write about.  On this passage, Dr. Dave Dorst (our Dave Dorst's father) writes, "Even though we are given visions of God's plan we are not given all the details, so let us not be too hasty to draw our diagrams and charts predicting all the events of the last days, for we don't have the complete picture. ... There are two common objections to evangelism that are addressed in this passage. Do you want to have it all figured out before you can tell others about your faith?  Here, and elsewhere in Scripture, it's clear that we'll never have it all figured out.  We're just responsible for sharing what we know."

In the Scriptures we are constantly being called to tell other people how Christ has changed our lives.  This passage speaks of the power of God.  Which is exactly what we need in order to do what He tells us.
