The Wrath Poured Out, Revelation 15:5-16:21

May 16, 2010 Speaker: Dr. David Silvernail Series: The King’s Triumphant Return - A Series in Revelation

Topic: Sermons Passage: Revelation 15:5–16:21

After a few weeks off, we're back to Revelation, this week looking at Revelation 15-16, which is about the Judgment of God.  Pastor Mark Dever of Capital Hill Baptist writes about this passage, "God has often used the threat of judgment to bring about repentance, but final judgment brings ultimate condemnation. ... Come to God while mercy is being extended to you in Christ.  Mercy, justice, holiness and righteousness are all parts of God's perfect character."  We don't like the word "Judgment."  We prefer "Justice."  It just sounds nicer.  But this passage is here to teach us that the Judgment of God is something to be praised.
