Three Days Of Destiny, Esther 9-10

November 21, 2010 Speaker: Dr. David Silvernail Series: For Such a Time as This- A Series in the Book of Esther

Topic: Sermons Passage: Esther 9:1–10:3

As we finish the book Esther, we see the final reversal described and celebrated.  Throughout King Ahasuerus' kingdom, wherever the Jews were in danger of being killed by the king's former edict, the new edict allowed them to defend themselves and kill all their enemies- over 75,000 in all.  The Feast Of Purim began the next day, a time of feasting and gladness that has been celebrated every year by the Jews.  Ultimately, we need to recognize how this conclusion to Esther's story points us to the fact that Christ will come again to destroy the Evil Empire to establish His righteous kingdom, and that He will then put on a Feast and empower His people to become truly Purim people!
