Genesis 7 is the account of the flood beginning and reaching its destructive climax. This sermon deals with some apologetic material in terms of whether the 300 other flood "myths" from other cultures proves or disproves the Genesis account, as well as whether the flood was solely a local one or truly worldwide. But even more critically, it asks whether we "allow" in our views of God His right to bring judgment how and when He chooses. It ends with a warning that the flood in Noah's day is a precursor to the judgment that we will all face when we die or when Christ returns. Each of us needs to be ready, and when we are sure of our own salvation, we are called to bring that message of life and rescue to the unbelievers around us.
