Wow, it's hard to believe the month of May is upon us. It will be a busy month for the church. We celebrate the Lord's Supper this Sunday, May 4th; Mother's Day on May 11th (James Murphy will be preaching!); Officer Elections and Testimonies on May 18th; and a Memorial Day Picnic on May 25th. I imagine that Jesus' last days were pretty busy too. And yet, in the middle of all the activities and appointments, He makes time to teach, reprove, correct, and train His disciples for righteousness. And (for the most part), they take time to listen and learn.
We have a long and difficult passage before us this week, Matthew 21:23-46, where Jesus challenges the Pharisees with a hard question. They realize that either answer they might give is incorrect, so they refuse to answer. And Jesus reveals their potential answers are both incorrect with two pointed parables. But the problem comes in that there was a third answer to the question that they refused to consider. What's the third answer? Is it really the correct answer? Come this Sunday to listen and learn. See you then, Dr. Dave
