My family has all the Christmas decorations up, lots of presents wrapped, and Christmas CDs rotating in the CD player. Family devotions have started focusing on Advent and waiting for Christ's coming. I pray that your family would find some time to reflect on Jesus' incarnation and God's wonderful gift of His Son before the Christmas season passes us by.
This Sunday we are privileged to have Matt Bowles, the campus minister for Reformed University Fellowship- International at George Mason, preach and teach for us. Matt is one of the missionaries we support and Dean Luckenbaugh has headed up a couple events with students that he works with. It's been a great partnership so far! Matt has almost two decades of pastoral ministry in his native Knoxville, Tennessee and Ocala, Florida, and has been with the RUF-I group at Mason for a year and a half. He'll tell us about his ministry during Sunday School, then preach on Luke 7. You can see more about his ministry at: http://www.ruf.org/ministry/george-mason-university-ruf-international.
See you Sunday, -Rev. Dorst
