Who Will Go? (Isaiah 6:1-8)

February 8, 2015 Speaker: Rev. Bryn MacPhail Series: Guest Speakers

Topic: Sermons Passage: Isaiah 6:1–6:8

Well, the Patriots won the Super Bowl and Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow. So everything’s gloomy right now. But it’s a good thing this weekend is coming. Because the Men’s Retreat is a high point of my year. And my good friend, Bryn MacPhail, is joining us for the whole weekend. After he speaks on the Men’s Retreat, he’ll be leading Sunday School for the teen and adult classes, and then preaching.

Bryn is the pastor of St. Andrew Kirk in Nassau, Bahamas, where our short-term mission team went in July of 2014. We are planning a return trip this summer (if you were in church Sunday, you saw the flyer for the first time). Bryn was born and raised in Niagara Falls, Canada, and the stereotype of a hockey-loving Canuck is true: he plays goalie for a street hockey team in the Bahamas that won the “Stanley Conch.” Bryn is a wonderful preacher and relational pastor, he holds two seminary Masters degrees, and is currently ordained in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. I look forward to everyone hearing him and his passion for ministry and people. If you went on the last mission trip or are considering going on this coming summer mission trip, feel free to join us for lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings after church!

See you Sunday. You don’t want to miss, both because you get to worship the Lord with the church body and also to see whether Dr. Dave can pronounce Eliana Michelle Kamelehoonani Kamakawiwoole correctly during the baptism! -Dave Dorst
